The firepower for the German Infantry troops during the World War 2 was mainly supplied by its machine gun teams. A crew consisted of five members: a chief officer, a machine gunner, an ammo-belt feeder and two ammo carriers. Equipped with optical sights and a tri-pod gun mount, the German heavy machine guns provided exact and effective cover for the infantry.
