The Austin-Healey 100-6 went into series production in 1956. The designation 100 stood for the 100 mph the sports car could reach, the 6 referred to the 6-cylinders in-line 2.7 litre engine. The bonnet now has an integralfront air intake. The engine developed 117 bhp and coule reach speeds of 167 km/h and accelerated from 0-100 in just 10.7 seconds.
