AMT 1/25 '63 Shelby Cobra 289 "3 in 1" Customizing Kit

The 1963 Shelby Cobra 289 Roadster custom kit features eight real metal injector stacks, a 289 cu. Inch engine, fastback top, GT steering wheel, drag grille and drag fuel tank, tonneau cover, pad-printed drag slicks, and more customizing options.

When the first Shelby Cobra was built in 1962, no one knew they were making history. The idea of the Cobra came to fruition when Carol Shelby combined the all-American 260ci V-8 Ford engine with the CSX2000 chassis by AC Cars. After initial tests in England, the first cobra was sent by air to Dean Moon's famous hot rod shop in California. By mid-1962 magazines were calling the Cobra's acceleration explosive and by 1963, orders were coming in faster than the team could produce them. In its first year of racing, Cobra won three championships with its stellar combination of V-8 power and  lightweight construction of only 2,200 pounds. The Shelby Cobra is among America's most iconic roadsters ever built.
